As a Mechanical Engineer, you will design, test, and evaluate precision mechanical and opto-mechanical systems, translating optical designs into innovative components and assemblies.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct conceptual design and feasibility studies for opto-mechanical systems.
- Design, analyze, and document precision opto-mechanical and mechatronic assemblies.
- Perform stress, thermal, and modal analyses using FEA or hand calculations.
- Prepare models, drawings, and oversee prototype fabrication and testing.
- Collaborate with customers to understand and address their needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- Technical Skills: SolidWorks, FEA tools, and analysis of stress, thermal, and tolerances.
- Design Expertise: Kinematic design principles, material selection, and precision adjustment.
- Core competencies : Problem-solving detailed oriented and collaborative.
- Preferred Background: Metrology, Optics, Mechanics, Electro-mechanics, or Opto-mechanics.
- Travel Requirements: Occasional (~5–10%).
