What You Will Be Doing
The successful candidate can expect to use complex electronic spreadsheets on a regular basis, including advanced functions and features of Microsoft Excel, to gather and organize data from multiple systems, which will evolve into developing, modifying and utilizing Excel and other forecasting and analysis models to guide senior leadership in solving real world cost management challenges.
Tasks will include using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook to develop and deliver accurate, timely reports and communications regarding functional and program cost performance.
Responsibilities will include developing cost performance metric presentations, effectively collaborating with other team members, across functional and program organizations.
Responsibilities may include: gathering, organizing, analyzing & reporting manufacturing labor hours; developing materials cost forecasts for various government contracts; writing Variance Analysis Reports (VARs); developing, analyzing and reporting earned value measurement (EVM) data; entering data into the Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) Electronic Financial System (EFS); helping develop program and functional estimates-at-completion (EACs) and baseline budgets; gathering data for cost transfer requests; helping develop estimating inputs for labor and/or materials.
Position will require on-site presence at least 75% of the time, with telework opportunity when not required on site.
Ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience independently handling multiple tasks, in a fast-paced work environment, where a high degree of accuracy is required.
Successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Lockheed Martin policies and procedures, as well as Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and contract requirements.
The Locale: Chelmsford is a charming suburb of Boston located about 25 miles northwest of that city. Chelmsford is very close to historic Lowell Mass and to Nashua, NH. Chelmsford is within reach of New Hampshire’s White Mountains and awesome ski areas to the north, and the scenic coastal towns of MA and NH are about an hour east. This scenic colonial region offers lots of New England charm, great schools, shopping, and restaurants. Chelmsford and the region share an impressive past from the early days after the pilgrims arrived in Plymouth to the revolutionary war. Where can you get to from Chelmsford? Chelmsford is about 90 minutes from Cape Cod. Boston is about 30 minutes to the east without traffic. New York City is about 4.5 hours away from Chelmsford. Waterville Valley and other major ski resorts of NH and VT are about 2 to 3 hours to the north. It should be noted that Chelmsford, MA is approximately 35 miles northwest of the Boston metropolitan area and offers better access to a wide range of substantially more affordable regions in the area to live. Those regions include Northeastern and North Central Mass, and Southern, NH.
This position will be located in the leased office space at 10 Technology Road, Westford, MA., which is about 2 miles from the Chelmsford facility at 16 Maple Road.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, industrial engineering, data analysis, or accounting.
Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills: at least two years of experience using Excel spreadsheets, on a weekly basis, to analyze data, including using Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IFSUM, Power BI or macros, in either a work, college or personal application.
One year or more of experience in a professional accounting, payroll, accounts payable, cost analysis or budget control position.
Desired Skills:
1) Advanced-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including creating Pivot Tables and graphs, using VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP/XLOOKUP formulas and conditional formulas; 2) mid-level proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook; 3) demonstrated data organization skills; 4) data analysis experience, especially cost variance analysis calculations and explanations; 5) data visualization skills, especially developing or modifying Tableau dashboards; 6) excellent interpersonal and communication skills; 7) basic accounting skills, especially cost accounting; 8) budgeting and forecasting skills, especially for labor hours or materials cost; 9) cost estimating skills, and; 10) experience with Visual Basic A (VBA) and/or Structured Query Language (SQL).

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
