Perform a wide variety of duties to assist, instruct and manage the influx and return of customer equipment requiring Metrology calibration/repair for a smooth orderly flow thru the Metrology FIFO process including updating the data collection system to be compliant with AS9100 requirements.
Work from backlog schedules, verbal instructions, and written requests to make timely responses with respect to customer requirements and/or special requests.
Collect and return calibrated equipment via the daily driving of the Metrology PIV.
Attend to customer service window, address inquiries or direct customers to proper POC within lab.
Maintain up to date records using electronic computer aided systems.
Prepare, complete and process all related paperwork and reports required.
Operate PIV as situation warrants.
Demonstrate proficiency in prompt and complete daily processing and staging of local incoming equipment.
Monitor and notify customers of items ageing in pickup locations.
Requires proficiency in prompt and complete daily dispatch of outsourced/vendor equipment, according to schedule, including validate/process outsourced/vendor incoming.
Properly store and manage all types of equipment for calibration FIFO in a neat and orderly fashion per AS9100 Rev D requirements.
Make recommendations and informed decisions for sourcing items awaiting vendor or insourcing shipment based on past events.
Properly pack, preserve and prepare for shipment all types of equipment being sent to vendors or other Lockheed labs.
Perform a variety of clerical duties to validate/accept calibration certificates from vendors, scan and upload supporting documentation and update the Metrology Electronic Database, apply calibration stickers and stage for return to customer.
Provide technical assistance by directing, assisting and instructing other clerks on related work of a comparable or lower skill.
Perform operator checklist as required.
Contribute to the overall effectiveness of equipment by performing operator required upkeep.
Follow all rules and regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety.
Segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a well-rounded knowledge of business and shop practices, sufficient to understand processing gages and instruments. Requires knowledge of computer skills such as Microsoft word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, etc. Equivalent to a minimum of 2 years high school plus 2 - 3 years trades training or 4 years technical school with specialized training.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
