Location: Timken, Tyger River Plant - Union, South Carolina.
Job Type: Full-time.
Shift: Day Shift.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM.

Position Summary:
This position will maximize and continuously improve customer satisfaction as it relates to the organization and maintenance of the quality management system. And will identify projects to prevent defects while ensuring compliance to the ISO standard, corporate standards, customer standards, and resolution of customer, internal and supplier quality issues. And provide support to Operations regarding product metrology, process quality, and advanced product quality planning (APQP).
Essential Responsibilities:
- Metrology - technical understanding of measurement inspection gauging.
- Auditing - participate in customer, internal and third-party audits.
- Work Instructions - create, development and conduct training of quality system work instructions.
- Quality Management System - maintain compliance of the Timken Quality Management System (TQMS), Timken Manufacturing Operational System (TMOS), and corporate standards.
- ISO 9001 - maintain a thorough understanding of the ISO quality system standard.
- Problem-Solving - provide data analysis and problem-solving for corrective and preventive actions.
- Customer Complaints - lead investigations, problem-solving, and responses to quality issues.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering, Materials Science or related technical field, or Business Administration.
- 4 or more years of experience in a quality engineering role.
- 4 or more years of experience with quality system auditing.
- 4 or more years of experience problem-solving in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent computer skills with the ability to analyze data.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- American Society for Quality certification: Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor or Quality Manager.
- Certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor.
- 4 or more years of experience in project management.
- 4 or more years of experience in supplier quality.
- 4 or more years of experience using electronic and manual inspection gauging.
- 2 or more years of experience in metal working - machining, heat treating, grinding, and/or assembly.
